Dark Moon, Starry Sky

30.03.2014 in moon&sky

Greetings and Welcome Dark of the Moon in Aries (exact @1145pst).

A new cycle begins and the signs are that this cycle will be full. You’ve probably already heard rumblings of the time upcoming. Mars continues in retrograde; we have two eclipses (Apr 15 lunar, Apr 23 solar); a Uranus-Pluto square becoming a T-Square; and a fully-fledged Cardinal Grand Cross (Apr 20-23). Whoosh!

byDominicKamp_CROPx385_screenShotA lot of fiery energy bursting to be free and for us to be truly who we are. Yes, a cycle for initiating new projects, creating new starts, and shifting how things are done. In the Northern Hemisphere you need only feel into the land to feel this energy. In the South it has a different form and application, but the energy is the same. The planetary lineups are stirring things up.

There are those that speak of this upcoming ‘month’ as a crazy, explosive, uncertain and chaotic time. Of uh-oh and oh-dear and watch out, but by now you know I don’t have much interest in that kind of noise.

What truth there may be in this seeing ahead, is just more reason to deepen the inner work; to expand time in stillness listening to heart’s calls and whispers. More reason to further clarify, hone and honor the work for manifesting that which calls to be fed and watered. If there be chaos and uncertainty, then let me be open and spacious to receive the jewels that lie within (there’s so much creative energy in chaos & uncertainty ;)).

Now, it is the dark of the moon. A purrfect time to nourish oneself and create that spaciousness. Now is the time to prepare for the powerful influx of energy.

Immerse yourself in the warm, soft, gentle dark where wishes, dreams and possibilities are born. Watch for their sparkles in the cosmos of your being. Be still as you view the beginnings of another spiral form in a green grove under a starry sky.

The fern shoulders up through Earth and when hir full circle is arisen, then she unfurls slowly, gently, in grace and beauty, in hir own time and in accord with the nourishments which surround hir.

From within your curling circle, attend now to the sparkles that awake within. Attend now to fueling you and the new cycle arising. Imagine what fractal forms of beauty you will unfurl into the Light this cycle.

Call to Sacred ACTion

In this Dark of the Moon, create  some quality time for  yourself and soothing stillness.

Curl up with your Heart and Belly.

Reflect on what you want. Listen.

Reflect on what you need. Listen.

What does the inner wisdom within your heart and in your belly say to you?

Find two or three words that express the message. Make this your New Moon intention or affirmation.

And do share with friends, in comments below, or in facebook, that we may all receive and support the wisdom.

And, as always,
Nurture your Nature

Lunar Balance

23.03.2014 in moon&sky

Greetings again Dear Ones!

Three days ago was Equinox, a point balance of between light and dark in the solar cycle. Whether north or south, these are times of celebration. Here in the Northern Hemisphere we delight in the increasing light of the sun and beginning seeding a sprouting; in the south, it is time to harvest fruits of the land just as Moon time calls for harvest of Luna’s cycle.

A week ago we celebrated the illuminations of the Full Moon. Now it is Last Quarter Moon, lunar balance of light and dark. Solar cycle ‘waxing’, Lunar cycle waning. Another kind of ‘balance.’ Another reminder to find balance within.

Under the half lit waning Moon it is time to mark our completions and begin emptying. Time to review and reflect on what is needed to deepen and further to integrate what has been uncovered under the Light. Time to step away from regular routines in order to consider new dreams.

It is both a time for trimming, weeding and releasing; and a time to begin thinking of what you want to plant in the next cycle. Remember, releasing clears the space for future possibilities. Connect with your inner guides and listen to your heart calls. Move gently in to the spaces between.

Equinox Welcome

20.03.2014 in turnings

Greetings to, and of, Ostara!

The day of equal dark and light.
An equity; a balance point.

Ostara4-2x385

I am up pre-dawn and the sky is clear. Waning Moon hangs white is in the southwest sky.  I watch Sun rise wondering what this day will bring, and I hold an open question.  First rays touch the land and thin frost sparkles like diamonds.  As Sun crests the island hills, shadows appear and shift, painting stories in answer to my questioning.  Light-dark relations. Poised. Balance and movement in each moment, even in stillness.  I feel the first shimmerings of soft pale greens soon to brighten and evolve in the rising Light.

Here in the Northern Hemisphere we herald Springostara_crocus

Snowdrop and crocus and first pink blossom buds have already appeared in some places in the lands, teasing and delighting in early signs of the Season.

Soon Light will gain over dark and the land will once again be blanketed in flowers and new greens – grass and bud and new leaf.

A festival of resurrection, revival, renewal and rejuvenation gloriously profuse with color.

I invite you this day to dress for the occasion. Wear a ribbon, a flower, a smile. Dress your altar with flowers, a potted plant, a bowl of seeds, new candles and spring water. Connect with the energies of the water, seed, plant and flowers, and explore their inner life-art nature.

Feel the rising energies of Earth within. Life warming bones, filling hearts, tickling skin and sparkling eyes. Rebirth, renewal. The promise of Ostara.

I invite you this day to walk through gardens, parks, forests and other green places. Make it a celebration ritual. Breathe in the nourishment from new green and fresh scents and the promise held. Breathe out last dusts of the dark until they clear.

Breathe in new fresh wonders gain and breathe out your wishes and intentions for this new beginning. Plant these intentions as seeds to be divinely tended through the gaining light.

Let’s imagine into being a world of love, caring, respect and joy for All in the Kin-dom.

Let me feel, let me see,
Now reborn in positivity.
Let all good things now come to be!
Yippee!

As always/all-ways Dear Ones,

Honoring Water

Wisdom Wild: Honoring Water

0water_x300March 22 is World Water Day. Consider pending some time by water this – even if it’s just a water bowl to which you attend. Create time and ritual to reflect upon water and how it flows through you, around you and in the world. Take a moment wherever you are to give thought and prayers for the sacred waters.

I am grateful for Water and Water Wisdom each day.

May I flow like the river,

be still like a sheltered pond,

and breathe with the ease of the tide

incoming and outgoing.

What Water gifts and wisdoms are you grateful for?

There will be gatherings in many places to honor and celebrate water in various ways. The International Council of the Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers has put together a special water ceremony. The practice that some of you may recognize.
You can learn more at in the name of the mother

Full Spider Woman Moon

16.03.2014 in moon&sky

Greetings in this Full Moon Time.

P1030042_fullCROPx300TXTHere we are at the ‘mid-point’ of the cycle. As always, full moons are ‘high’ times. Time to celebrate and express gratitude for the shape and form your commitments have taken thus far. Time to strengthen connection and trust in spirit.

Name the moon wherever you are – Storm Moon, Worm Moon, Crow Moon, Sap Moon. Moon of the High Priestess and Moon of Spider Woman.

There’s a mix of energies in the fields these days as we move from Virgo to Libra Moon this day, with Mars and Saturn continuing in retrograde and Equinox just days away.

Lean in these next few days to what you are feeling and follow the whispers and nudges. Yes, there are the practical needs of the building activities still energetically present, but the Moon also calls for time to connect with inner wisdom and with the rhythms of land and light.

Breathe in the nourishment and wonders gathered under the light. Breathe out that which naturally releases.
Take that breathe. And another.

Breathe into your inner sensing can visit with web-weaver within. See the colors and threads drawn tight or loose each in accord with the reason and purpose of it’s making. Perhaps your creative spirit will call you to write or drawn the view. Such is the time. Let it be, let it flow.

Next Moon Cycle begins March 31st. Come Walk with the Moon
