Welcome Moon Dark-New (exact @ 2012 PDT) in Leo

… warmth, strength, courage, self-expression

Moon dark-new awakens fresh beginnings. At this time we also begin to have more clarity of mind (Mercury now direct); an increased sense of beauty and freedom (Sirius effect); a feeling of increasing momentum (Uranus effects); and a sense of additional sparkle in all our heart-led activities (Venus conj Moon). We are also more empowered to shift and break-through into freedom at this time (Black Super Moon).

Moon in Leo calls us to relax into Being with child-like joy and enthusiasm. She brings courage, confidence, optimism, strength, determination, and a renewed passion for Life. As big-hearted Leo is all about identity, personal truth, and our authentic self, we are called to connect with our hearts and remember our true selves. It’s time to nourish our inner Fire, embody gratitude, and to boldly shine bright.

Fire energy now in abundance radiates warmth, lifts the Spirit and inspires action (6 planets in Fire signs). All of Leo’s gifts are especially amplified (4 planets in firey Leo). At last quarter Moon it’s time to clean-up, clear away and make space for self-nourishing. Time to revise, release, realign, integrate and cleanse. Yes, it is a time to turn inward (waning Moon + 6 planets retrograde). Taurus Moon supports us by keeping us grounded and helping us to make steady and consistent progress; and then drawing us to relax, slow down, and revel in the senses. She reminds us of the joy in simple things.

Sun now in Leo (as of yesterday) brings warm-heartedness, child-like joy and playfulness; helps renew our passion and purpose (further supported by Mars-Jup trine); and gives us a stronger sense of vitality, courage, and joy. Both Leo and Taurus love leisure, pleasure and the finer things in life. Moon Full in Capricorn + partial Lunar Eclipse

Welcome Moon Full (exact @ 1438 PDT) & Partial Lunar Eclipse (max @ 1430 PDT) in Capricorn

… release, consolidate, change, transform   

Moon Full offers increased clarity and invites attention to what has been completed. A partial lunar eclipse, along with other planetary involvements (esp Saturn and Pluto), intensifies and amplifies the energies of Moon-full and makes this Moon particularly potent and transformative. It is a Moon that unearths powerful feelings and profound rememberings. In Capricorn we are called to root ourselves; Cancer Sun calls us to heart and home. At their best, they together work to engage and balance both head and heart, and our outer and inner worlds

Eclipses are major portals for transformation. They reveal what is hidden; uncover new levels of truth; and inspire change and growth. This is the last eclipse of the season and we are urged to prune away what isn’t working, and to clear the field of outdated structures, beliefs, and patterns of behaviours (Saturn). It is a call to journey into the underworld (Pluto influence) to unearth doubts and fears, and to let things die and be reborn. We are drawn to the past (retrograde planets) but also must detach from it. Yes, it’s powerful time for a reality check (Venus-Saturn) and a very potent time to unburden, lighten the load, release baggage, and let go, let go, let go. Feed the compost; fuel the Fire.

Especially important, we are asked to invest and enact our own personal authority. To trust intuition, take strength from heart-knowing, and be clear about our boundaries. In the main, elemental energies provide strong support – although we are very light on Air which may make thinking a bit more challenging. Breathe, breathe, breathe. Allow clarity to come as it will. Waxing Moon Half-lit in Libra

Greetings of Waxing Moon Half-lit (exact 190709 @ 0335 PDT) in Libra

trust, balance, harmony

We are midway between eclipses and, at Moon half-lit, we are in the moment ‘between’ dark and light. It is a time to pause and find balance and harmony within.

In Libra self-awareness increases; our empathic abilities are amplified; and we become highly sensitized to the qualities of beauty, harmony and balance. Sun and Moon together ask us to remember who we are at the core. We are called to open to possibility and trust that love and positive bounty will flow to us and fulfil our core needs and more.

The journey will require centeredness, heart-connection, and balance. At the midpoint between eclipses and under a waxing half-lit Moon, we may find ourselves feeling more sensitive, moody, twitchy or lethargic. There are also some challenging configurations that may heighten the sense that we are dealing with polarized choices (Sun/Moon Saturn). We are invited to pause and conduct a well-considered reality check. Is it a question of either/or? Or can we embrace both/and? This is a time to delve into the truth of our emotions; deepen our heart wisdom; and further open ourselves to choosing what leads us to living a more creative and expressive life (Merc-R in Leo).

Fortunately we are supported in many ways. Overall, what challenges us is our ‘push’ to find a way forward and to look for whatever remains to be cleared to make way for the new. In the next couple of days we are helped to tune to compassion, empathy and Spirit (Sun-Nep trine Wed); enabled to take wise and confident action (Mars-Chiron trine Thurs); and provided with deep healing energy (Grand Water trine: ScorpioMoon-CancerSun-PiscesNeptune).

This is a time to know ourselves more deeply. A time to nurture our hearts and hone our sense of purpose. Time to make adjustments to ideas and plans, and to remain flexible and creative as momentum builds to Moon Full. Time to treasure and express beauty, harmony, bounty and balance, and move towards our dreams.
