Today we are bathed by the fullness of the 13th Moon of the year, the Moon of Transformation. Today’s Moon in Gemini is an intense ‘Super Moon’ (due to it’s closeness to Earth).

Aside from being the 13th Moon, this Moontime is a powerful portal, itself infused with transformational energy seeking to unify oppositions and harmonize disparate parts (4 planets in Sag). Don’t be surprised if you find yourself buzzing across polarized extremes; pushing beyond old limits; and/or sorting through various contrary bits and pieces for what is to be released, treasured or integrated. It is a time to be very discerning; and to call upon our deepest heart -truth and soul sense.

Many Spirit gateways are also open at this time (Neptune Square both Sun & Moon); messages from Source are stronger (Saturn conjunct Galactic Center); and there is a lot of the mutable energy about (7 planets in mutable signs). Together, the experience may be both exhilarating and somewhat disorienting. We are called to be flexible, move into the flow, and open to new insights.

In concert with all this transformational energy, we are urged to move within and deepen self-reflection. The past is called up again to evoke new truths, clear clutter from our minds, and find closure where needed (Mercury-R just 8 hrs before Moon full). We are gifted with increased sensitivity, harmonious energy, and much ease and grace to empower transcendence (long lasting Jupiter-Neptune trine, first of 3 activations (next ones in May & Aug).

Yes, this Moon may well be seen as rather demanding and, yes, challenging. Yes, inner conflict may be aroused (no surprise); choose to greet it with welcome and playfulness. Creative energy is hugely abundant now and provides the fuel for play in all forms. Stay positive. Focus on what can be done in the present moment, and surrender the rest in faith and trust. Staying grounded and getting rest is very important. Make time and space for pause, and pause frequently. Quiet the mind and move into the calm. Look to beauty and all that gives you joy. Align with that. Breathe that. Be filled that and the grace of All.

Waxing Moon Half-lit in Pisces

Greetings of the waxing Moon Half-lit (exact @0903 PST) in Pisces

reflection, vision, form

The Sun has now moved out of dark and deep Scorpio into Sagittarius (as of Wednesday). It is a time to broaden our horizons (Merc in Sag too). As carrier of the eternal flame, Sagittarius heralds the Light, fueling visions of the future and calling us into the beyond. Sag brings joy and enthusiasm, and reminds us to have a deep faith in Life, and to face any challenges with humor and positivity.

The waxing half-lit Moon invites us into between. In dreamy Pisces she brings us into the magical and mystical; and allows us greater access to the dimension between. While Sag Sun wants to launch into the world without constraint, Pisces Moon calls us to pause and reflect. The Fire energy provides us with warmth and Light; the Waters remind us of the ways we are connected. One calls us to the outer world; the other calls us within. Together they bring clear and flowing insights (esp w/ Neptune also in Pisces, now direct, & Moon conjunct Neptune tonight). Although Sag and Pisces may wrestle a bit, our deep visions can now find their way into form.

Moon Dark-New in Scorpio

 Welcome Moon Dark-New (exact @0342 PST)  in Scorpio

renewal, transformation, rebirth

We are well steeped in the Waters this dark Moon. We are called to dive deep, deep, deep into feelings and longings. Called to access what is buried; ignite our passion; and honor our Soul wisdom. This is a call for healing, renewal and transformation, and it is amplified by several other planets also in Scorpio (6 planets in Water signs; 4 in Scorpio) Alchemical power is indeed strongly activated.

Although this is the beginning of a cycle, right now it is time to do less and Be more. It is time to pause, connect deeply to sacred source, and listen. Truly time to release whatever disempowers. Time for courage and compassion (Scorpio and Chiron). Time to remember and presence the ancient wisdom within us and Earth. Time to honor our innate power (Mars-Pluto square). Time to reawaken dreams and intentions born out of our hearts and the unknown.

Yes, there is emotional depth and intensity to these times but ~7 hours after Moon dark exact, Moon will move into Sagittarius and in ~ 3 days Sun will also move into Sagittarius. The call for transformation and rebirth continues but the atmosphere becomes a bit lighter and the Archer helps guide our aim.

Whatever may appear to challenge or trigger, focus on revealing the inherent gifts and keep the transformational energy flowing. Release fears and reclaim self-love and self-esteem. Nurture the dreams planted in your heart. Imagine your Spirit essence coming into form. It is time to be newly reborn.

Welcome Waning Moon Half-lit (exact @1236 PST) in Leo.

This cycle has offered challenges to many/most of us. Whether they have been personal, more of the world, or some emotionally affective, interactive combination, the core of us, our values and our truth, have been strongly called upon. Now is the time to set things aside and release/let go.

It is time to rest, rejuvenate and renew. Water energy continues to be abundant, providing both opportunity and support for flowing, floating and healing. Leo Moon brings the warmth of Fire, rumbling purrs, and all the feline keys to contentment.

Mmm, yum … A powerful portal. Some beautiful alignments provide for a host of wondrous things: further illumination of our connections to ourselves and to Spirit(1); expanded perspectives (2) ; more easeful releasing, shadow work and healing power (3); and renewed sparks of inspiration and enthusiasm (4).

It is an illuminating, deepening, grounding, and nourishing time.

Taurus Moon brings a stabilizing, calming influence to the intensity of Scorpio Sun. She calls us into our earthy senses, into beauty, love and pleasure; and reminds us to enjoy fullness of each moment.
