It perhaps goes without saying that much has been churning in the collective field ;), and so too within.

1st quarter Moon asks us to pause in the place between extremes, and move whole into our hearts. In Aquarius, we are called to focus on where freedom lives, and tune to a higher frequency of conscious Being.

Feel into the abundance of good things (Moon Trine Jupiter & Venus trine Uranus) and into your empowered Being (Pluto sextile Scorpio).

Draw on helpful, transformative powers coming into play (mostly felt through Mars, Venus and Mercury shifts).

There is energy for recovering from recent stresses, and for spurring social causes (Mars > Aquarius Tues). There is help for building strong foundations for what we want to bring into form (Venus > Capricorn Fri) and for gathering with like-minded for constructive and creative undertakings. And there is a coming sense of buoyancy and breathfulness that can give rise to smiles and laughter (Merc > Sag Sat).

We are moving in deep, emotionally intense times (Sun-Moon-Merc, all in Scorpio + Neptune in Pisces & Chiron too) and increased sensitivity (Moon conjunct Mercury) .

Such energetic flows ripple through, and also fuel, a challenging dance underway as old oppositions seek to hold on, and new ways rise up to birth through (recent Mars-Uranus square + Mars & Pluto both in Cap, the sign of our cultural collective. Mars preserving what may still be useful; Pluto striking down rotten and dangerous structures.)

The powers are immense for transformational healing, transmutation and new creation.

Moon has called us to clear, cleanse, and release, release, release (ref last weeks message). Dark-new in Scorpio she calls us into our magick, powerfully present and aware. It is time to wrestle with the Serpent and mistress her powers to shed what must be released, and transform what passes away in ways that invite new forms to emerge.

It is time also to bring into laser focus, the dreams, visions, values and ideals we seek to be expressed in form. Lean into enhanced imagination, intuition, and open flowing connection to natural rhythms and Source/Spirit (Sun-Moon-Mercury trine Neptune) . Step into the thinning veils (Hallow’s Eve, All Soul’s Day, upcoming crossQuarter) and listen for wisdom held by all those that have gone before. Choose now the sacred seeds to plant and nourish under Moon’s waxing Light.

& Sun in Scorpio this afternoon (as of @ 1645 pdt)

Deep cleansing grace

Moon was in sensitive Cancer when she was exactly half-lit; twenty minutes later she moved into warm-hearted Leo; and this afternoon Sun moves into Scorpio.

There is a shift in the Earth-Sky rhythms (Venus now in Sag; Sun in Scorpio; both Moon & Sun moving out of cardinal signs) which creates more space, more ease, more openness and more balance. Draw on these energies in the next few days as you finish up, review, and sort through the makings, gifts, learnings and happenings during this cycle. There may be some residual ‘tension’ (Mars conjunct Pluto in Capricorn for eg) in the process but it is passing/transitioning.

As Moon wanes into the deepening dark, we are urged to move deeply within. The urging is now particularly strong (Sun in Scorpio). We are called to embrace all that is, both Light and Shadow, and hone our ways to of moving in each, and in between. Time to feel powerfully into deep emotions where magick resides. Time to move in to the center of self and Source.

Moon Full in Aries

reveal, honor, nourish

Here we’ve had storm warnings beginning mid-week. A series of escalating storms have been coming through the region these past days and are projected to peak tonight.

The rain has pounded on the roof, the deck, the roads. Wind has thrashed through the area,  at times erratic, at times bold. It has shaken the house, batted down trees, uprooted plants in pots. The rain pours down with a passion, coating the windows in sheets and blurring the views like tears do. Pools appear and, in their making, point to the places where leaves have blocked releasing points and must again be freed. In brief breaks, a ribbon of light appears on the horizon under black whirling clouds. Again the wind roars, the rain drums, and we begin again.

*Coincidentally – or maybe not – my computer crashed midweek; on reboot it performed very slowly and erratically. Today it turned itself off  7 times (so far) for no apparent reason. Work was lost each time. Time and time again re-collecting, re-creating, re-working. Communications-challenged indeed (Merc square Mars and opposing Moon). I wonder and wander through it all…

The dance of water and wind experienced these past days seems a literal play of the Earth-Sky energies of the times. Passions are high and volatile this superMoon-full in fiery Aries. Things are stirring though we may not know what change may arise from the ‘storm.’ What might be uncovered? What will have been torn up? What needs to be uncovered and transformed? What choices will we make?

Yes, this Moon time is potent and intense. Look to superMoon-full to seek what is revealed in the light and hidden in the dark shadows cast by the brightness. Sense into the fire of Aries to access and fuel your passions. Draw on earthy Capricorn energy (Mars & Pluto) to keep cool and make a plan. Tune to Uranus for help to break free of whatever binds or burdens. Focus on what is creative, and what can be awakened and liberated, in you and in the world. Take action – even if that means building a fire, lighting the candles, and nourishing peace within. Mmmm… I think that may be my plan for this eve….

Follow Nature;  focus on ideals

The first quarter Moon is a time for moving our new Moon ideals into form – even in the face of resistance (ours, others, and/or planetary aspects). In Capricorn, Moon pulls us to organize, create structure, and re-ground discipline (again and again). Given planetary relations at the moment, this is truly the Moon of vigilance.

Various planetary aspects currently test us in our resolve and, despite (or perhaps as a result of) the strong Libra energy about, finding balance could be challenging at times. Fire energy is a bit low so there’s somewhat less energy for goals action/motivation. Cardinal energy is also quite strong so there can be some jumbles/conflict  intentions and the extra emotional energy activated at the moment (Moon conjunct Mars & Pluto & square Jupiter). It’s best to take Capricorn’s long-term view and engage practical, organizational tasks that serve our focussed ideals.

Right now energy is also vacillating quite a bit (Mercury now in Libra) so breathe into flow and stay grounded. Pace yourself and take pauses often, and especially if things start to feel jumbled or just ‘too much’. Clear space to release stuck or blocked energy. Move your body and follow natural ways of Being. Stay focussed on and aligned with ideals of love, peace, harmony and beauty, and find ways to bring these into form – in your words and your deeds. Trust that positive change is occurring inside and out, even if it feels slow and we can’t see the whole as yet. :)
