Reflect, restore, empower

Change is in the air. Expect endings and beginnings, closings and openings, and lots of shiftings (New Moon + eclipses + 5 planets transitting this month) arising out of the clear and precise intentions we choose to set at this time.

We are called to connect deeply and intimately with Earth (5 planets in Earth signs, 4 in Virgo), rooting ourselves in natural rhythms and flow. Energies for restoration, purification, and powerful healing (micro & macro) are very strong at this time. The energies are amplified by the Eclipse season and will continue strong throughout the cycle.

This cycle holds supportive energies for discernment, integration, harmony and beauty. (Virgo/Pisces eclipses & Venus now in Libra as of Aug 29). It is a time for reflection and renewed devotion to all that we hold as sacred (Merc-R as of Aug 30 & conjunct Jupiter Friday + eclipses) . We are called to challenge what is out of alignment (Saturn-Neptune square, the 3rd of 3 since November) and follow our deepest wisdom, heart-truth, and ‘divine instincts’. Open to the moment and receive. Allow time for this, and for the body to realign.

Moon dark-new occurs just minutes prior to the 1st of two eclipses this month (the 2nd at Moon Full). If we count the ‘sort of eclipse’ at Moon-full on Aug 18, we are in the middle of a triple eclipse portal. So, if you wish, see this eclipse as gateway inviting new insights and shifts across dimensions. Why not? It’s kinda fun to consider, no? What do you want to ‘eclipse’ this cycle? What ‘shifts’ do you desire? What new seeds do you want to call into being? How will you feed beauty, love, peace and harmony? NOW is the time to reflect deeply, and strongly empower your intentions.

 Discern, gather, release,  take ease

Definitely time to take pause in these times demanding ‘heavy’ work of many kinds (Mars Conjunct Saturn in Sag exact today). Breathe into pause and let the moment flow with nurturing ease.

Waning Moon calls us now to begin wrapping up what was begun. Gemini calls us to harvest both root and fruit, infusing us with deep powers of perception, revealing more than we usually can see. It is time to again seek to shed that which does not serve (Saturn-Nepturn square is strong now, activated by Mars-Saturn alignment) and organize what is to be kept and brought forward in preparation for deepening dark and new Moon to come (esp important with Merc moving retrograde next week).

Earth energy is high (5 planets in Earth signs; 4 in Virgo) and draws attention to practical, daily tasks and details. It is time to truly tune to body-wisdom and to commune with Earth. Sun’s shift from Leo to Virgo (this past Monday) moves us from self-importance to selfless devotion. Seeming opposites, they serve together, twins if you will, ensuring the nurturance and care of the radiant Self and All.

Earth energy also supports us in anchoring plans, dreams and intentions. Focus on details in sorting that which is to be cast to the compost and that which is to be gathered for sustenance and future resource. Given various energies of this time, it is important to streamline efforts, and hone in on answers in the truth of heart and soul (Neptune-Mars aspect). Time to clear the way and open space for sacred engagement each day.

Moon Full in Aquarius (to Pisces soon)

Pour forth; flow in

This Moon full feels powerful and magical. Leo Sun is all about creative self-expression and personal radiance. Aquarius is also about individuality and independence but is more focussed on truth and wisdom poured out for the benefit of all. Right now there is a complementary melding of these forces. Each unique expression of Spirit poured forth for All. The personal and the universe-all in awakened joint service. The Source of each and All poured out for each and All, taken up again, poured forth again. Wow!

A ‘sort of eclipse’ (there’s some debate about whether or not this penumbral eclipse qualifies as a ‘real’ eclipse) co-occurring with the full Moon, is a prelude to the two eclipses upcoming in September. It can be seen as a ripple in the veils which invites us to expand our visions. Draw on the full Moonlight to illuminate and more closely examine intentions, and to reveal what is unique and important within you that is seeking further expression.

We can expect to be breaking away from usual patterns this week and we are dared to be seen in our most heart-true, radiant colors. New insights, intuitive sparks, sharpened perception, and freer way-making can be anticipated (Uranus position supportive of Sun & Moon). We are supported in grounding and maintaining a solid center (Fixed sign Aquarius + more Earth energy following with Sun and lastQ Moon in Earth signs); and in being in flow with feeling and feminine ‘powers’ (ongoing water trine + Moon moving to Pisces)

Overall, we are in midst of visionary energy, freedom, and a host of new possibilities. It is all part of the fullness of this Moon along with other supportive planetary energies. Now is the time to immerse in the fullness and receive the strength, wisdom, and creativity pouring in. Time to look within to honor and celebrate the gifts of the cycle, both given and received. Time to focus on inner wisdom and make way for more quiet time with you and you.
