The full Moon wanes and it is time to pause under Moon light and dark in equal measure.

Consider the ground you a-firmed and the flow you embraced at Moon full. Recall the presence of your stand and all the strength and wisdom and power that you hold.

The dance will intensify under the upcoming solar eclipse occurring next week with the Moon dark/new in Pisces (next to Chiron, the wounded healer, and Neptune, the great dissolver). During an eclipse energies also push to release the old and create anew.

Sagittarius aids us with truth-seeking ability and provides warmth and playfulness in the journey. Draw on this waning Moon to prepare for the well-supported opportunity to review, release, and realign. Welcome the healing cleansing of the deepening dark.

Full Moon in Virgo

 Greetings of the Full Moon in Virgo

Pisces Sun

We have entered the watery, dreamy time of the Piscean Sun (last week, Feb 18 @2134pst) and now Moon is full in Virgo. Earthy Virgo is about the practical, day-to-day realities (it’s all in the details). She seeks grounded wholeness.

Pisces is the flowing waters, bringing gentleness and compassion, nourishment and healing, seeking harmony and union within ourselves, and with Earth & Cosmos divine. Draw on this Moon to focus and reorient Virgo’s presence and practical attention to Pisces’ nature and aims.

Celebrate all the ways you have brought the formless into form.

There is increasing support for art and beauty and the heart-opening ideals we express (Sun conjunct Neptune in Pisces and Merc is conjunct Venus in Aquarius). As you expand with Moon bright and full, move into your ideals with boldness (support from Jupiter in Virgo trine Pluto in Capricorn) and imagine their active expansion – whether you dream anew or build upon current plans (Jupiter squares Saturn in Sag calls for this choice/focus).

Moon half-lit in Taurus

 Welcome waxing Moon half-lit (exact at 2346) in Taurus

Half-lit Moon calls us to attend to where we stand. Time to review and reflect, gaining clarity on what it is to be released, and what is to be kept and brought forward.

Moon in Taurus is trine Venus providing earthy ease. There is support now for things chosen to have longevity, and new patterns can be firmly rooted at this time (take care which patterns you want to claim and maintain ;)).

Mercury just moved into Aquarius yesterday and Venus will move into Aquarius on Wednesday. It feels like near perfect conditions for this waxing Moon. Firm ground (4 planets in Earth signs); Water for flow (3 in water signs); and increasing Air (currently 2 & 1 more soon) to fan Fire’s flames. With more Air energy on the scene, expect your mind to be more active. Take a breath and focus on the flame inside the heart seed that is stirring.

Dark-New Moon in Aquarius & Red Fire Monkey New Year

Moon dark-new and Chinese New Year herald new beginnings and perhaps you are eager to dive in. But Moon goes void of course just a minute after exact until about midnight so take some time in the dark deep to pause, rest and reflect.

Aquarius Sun and Moon call us to focus on unique and different ways to bring the inside out; and then to move forth to brighten and fuel ourselves and the collective good. Again we are called to relinquish old patterns that do not serve us, individually and/or collectively, and awaken a new dream into being.

Other messages of the skies speak of movement, shift and change, and yes, some challenges too. Strong fire energy (Red Fire Monkey, Sun-Moon sextile Saturn in Sag and Saturn trines Uranus in Aries) demands variety and creativity; and stimulates innovation and ground-breaking change. These and other alignments fuel our courage to experiment out at the edge of our comfort zone.

It is a bit of a shake-up and wake-up call (e.g. Uranus aligned with 8 planets – all but Neptune) inviting us to create change; innovate new paths and connections; and stretch into new forms. An exciting and challenging invitation. As we engage this dance, it will be important to be firmly grounded and strongly connected to the truth and guidance our hearts provide.
