Waning Moon half-lit is a time to review, clear away, let go, realign, and establish a new sense of balance and harmony. It is a time to self-nourish, replenish and rejuvenate. Time to surrender into the feminine deep and prepare for Moon-new to come.

Aquarius Moon elevates our insight, creativity, adaptability and visionary capacities. She invites us to expect the unexpected (Uranus rules Aqua) and asks that we focus on freedom, peace and well-being. Taurus Sun earths us with comfort, security and stability; and tunes us to our senses. Sun and Moon together nourish our need be grounded (Taurus); and to expand intellectually and socially (Aqua). They help us both to stand firm, and to fly wild and free.

Moon Full in Scorpio

Full Moons tend to be emotionally intense and powerful; more so when we’re dealing with a supermoon (like this one); and further heightened when in the sign of Scorpio (made more impactful w/ Pluto now stationary & Mars in Cancer). The fullness of light reveals what has been hidden and deepens the darkest shadows into which Scorpio always seeks to inquire. Intuition, psychic energy and creativity is high. It’s a time to shed old skins and ignite the passion within.

This Moon is dynamic, restorative, transformational (Scorpio) and stabilizing as well (4 planets in Taurus). She deepens conscious connection to Source/Spirit and inspires spiritual awakening (Scorpio & Pluto influence). We are empowered to see into the bones and unearth challenging feelings; summoned into deep releasing; and urged to take an Eagle-eyed point of view, deepen self-trust, and embrace all that we are.

Energy rises and momentum builds with the waxing Moon. Now half-lit it’s time to pause and reflect. Earthy Taurus wants us to ensure we attend to our foundation, build slowly and sense in to home. Moon dark-new reminds us that there is always an opportunity to begin anew. She offers the powers of regeneration, renewal and rebirth, powers that are significantly heightened by Aries energy (5 planets in Aries including both Sun & Moon). As the first new Moon of the astrological year, it’s a time to set clear and direct intentions not just for this cycle, but for the long term. It’s time for a fresh start. Time for visionary transformation and new beginnings.

Waning Moon half-lit calls us to pause, regroup and reorient. It is time to finish-up, clean up, clear away, and/or put aside the work of this cycle. Time to prepare space for reflection. Time to review, revise, release and realign. Time to renew and rejuvenate in the deepening dark.
