Greetings of  the Moon Dark-New  (exact @2230 PDT) in Virgo

This Moon dark-new is the new Moon of the Equinox, and the first new Moon since the solar eclipse. She initiates the second Phoenix month in a row and ushers in more opportunities for elevating awareness, deep healing, renewal and rebirth. There’s lots of ‘grist for the mill’ for healing (Sun opposite Chiron brings up latent fears/wounds and opens us to greater focus on and commitment to healing and wholeness) and for expanding intuition and deepening our connection to the bigger picture (Mercury Opposite Neptune effect makes things a bit blurry/dreamy for next few days).

With all the Earth energy, and most in Virgo (6 planets in Earth signs; 5 of them in Virgo including Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars & Venus) it is a potent time for deeply Earthing ourselves, our truth, our visions, and our intentions. We are entering a quieter time where analytic and practical tasks are easier to engage, and ‘sense’ and order can re-emerge. Various pieces of the puzzle are easier to discern and wholeness comes more clearly into view.

Given both the abundance of grounding, healing Earth energy; other earth-sky happenings; and Equinox just a few days away, it is a good time to examine and release old stories that have caused us harm or have otherwise hidden our radiant selves. Time to soften and beautify. Time to apply new loving devotion to healing hearts and refining minds. Time for deep self-compassion and nourishing self-care. Time to prepare for the change of seasons. Time to move forward renewed and refreshed, and bring new visions into Being.

Waning Moon Half-Lit in Gemini

Welcome Waning  Moon Half-lit  (exact 170912 @2325 PDT) in Gemini

release, trust, unfold

The “shift” energies are still in play and the work of releasing and letting go continues — initiated by the eclipse and now further encouraged by waning Moon, the coming change in seasons, and aspects of some other alignments as well (e.g. Saturn square Sun). Whether in the North or the South, there is a push to clean things up, get rid of what’s not needed, and prepare for the season to come.

Moon in Gemini supports our efforts with energy well suited to general maintenance, pruning, weeding and harvesting (yes, apply garden work to self ;)) And, while there may be some wrestling with what we can and can’t digest or accomplish in the moment, there’s also a sense of more ease and more stability right now (Saturn trine Venus). Let’s draw on this energy to help ensure that peace, beauty and our own heart-truth is at the center of all our integrative processes, wherever and however we may Be.

No matter what may fall away or feel jumbled, keep your eyes on the big picture. Remember and feel into your connections to Love, Beauty, Self and wholeness. Moon Full in Pisces

purify, anchor, dream,
sacred connection

This is a dreamy, healing Moon, tuned to our connection with ourselves and the collective oneness.

Moon in Pisces invites us into the soothing, cleansing, healing realm of our inner knowing. Sun in Virgo focusses attention on distillation, release and purification. Together they call us to attend to our connection to the sacred and the natural cycles of Life; and into reflection about belonging to ourselves.

Sensitivity, empathy, compassion and creativity is heightened; and the boundaries between the conscious and the subconscious tended to blurred at this time (Moon con Neptune). This is definitely a time to feel in and flow; a time to open to the unfolding.

Elemental energy is more balanced now and, though Fire is still somewhat dominant at the moment, movement is toward more Earth energy (Mars > Virgo yesterday a.m.; Mercury on Saturday) which will support our grounding and anchoring practices. Ideas and communication move more smoothly (Mercury >direct this eve) and there is more uplifting energy and ease in stepping into new versions of our personal Beingness.

Ah, the waxing half-lit Moon. A time to pause in between. A very welcome pause after the last few weeks of Earth-Sky activity. Moon in Sagittarius encourages us to expand our imaginings, our playfulness, and our confidence in Life’s flows. The eclipse energies are still rippling and making waves, but this week things are more quiet with no major aspects until week end.

It is time, still and again, for sweet grounding. Time to process and integrate what has come to the fore. Time to draw on the healing energies that are available (eclipse cleansing; Merc-R & Sun in Virgo; Chiron-R in Pisces). Time for purifying self-talk, and for feeding your wondrous Being with Love and self-care. Time for clarifying your visions, and mapping practical actions most aligned with your heart (Virgo helps with the practical actions; Merc-R and Sun both in Virgo empower the tasks of sifting, sorting, & discriminating; and Merc-R’s move into Leo on Thursday brings greater clarity).

Looking ahead, eclipse energies will continue to make waves and be activated now and then over the next several months. The first significant activation occurs on Sunday (Sep 3: Merc-R in Leo conjunct Mars in Leo trine Uranus in Aries). The energetic charges up the potential for new possibilities, greater clarity, new insights, empowered change, and liberating breakthroughs. I invite you to reflect on such potentialities.
