Welcome Moon Dark-New (exact @ 1948 pdt) in Cancer + partial solar eclipse (@2001 pdt)

… nurturing, feminine, creative, transformation

Moon dark-new, along with partial solar eclipse, initiates the eclipse season (lasting 4 weeks instead of usual 2) the effects of which will extend over the next 6 months. Both Moon dark-new and the eclipse signal a time for rebirth; a re-dawning. The times may well be powerful and intense… but also wondrously peaceful, insightful, inspirational, creative and transformative (eclipse, Pluto opp Sun/Moon, grand trines).

Moon in Cancer calls us home to the whole of who we are, and into a deeper journey with the wisdom powers of Cancer – warmth, comfort, empathy, compassion, self-trust, nurturance – all in natural flow. We are encouraged to accept ourselves as we are and, at the same time, challenge ourselves to become more than we have been. Cancer Moon reminds us to always lovingly nurture ourselves and all that we treasure in our lives. It is time to deeply feel and flow with the completeness of ‘home’ within.

It is also a time for new beginnings (eclipse + Moon dark-new). New directions, changes, and/or seeds planted now have increased potency (eclipse, Pluto-Sun/Moon opp). There is also more energy for forward movement and increasing momentum, and anything we wish to begin or implement moves more easily (Jupiter now direct). Align with whatever positively resonates and plant seeds for love and nurturance, deepened wisdom, and integrative healing.

Finally and, for me, most wondrous of all, we have two Grand Trines occurring: one in Water (Sun/Moon in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces) and one in Earth (Venus in Virgo, Saturn in Capricorn, Uranus in Taurus). The Water trine calls us to feel and flow, flooding the powers of initiative and intuition. The Earth trine (activated by Venus now in Virgo) provides structure, stability and firm grounding. Beauty and discipline are married together (Venus-Saturn) and we are inspired to raise our works to a higher level (Uranus). AND we have 8/10 planets in feminine signs! (4 in Earth, 4 in Water) Fruitful and rejuvenating energy. More peaceful energy, more creative energy, and more heart and Spirit dancing! Yum…
